This novel study is a great companion to reading Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbit. Tuck Everlasting explores the themes of death and life and how life should be lived. Natalie Babbit shows through her story the beauty of the life cycle and the importance of living your life to the fullest in the time you have. While talking about death can sometimes make people uncomfortable, this novel asks the student to examine death and the meaning of life in depth. It gives them a chance to discuss whether death is always bad, why we die, and the purpose of life, and what it might mean to live forever.
